Ellen van Och – Acquisition Coordinator

Every week a board member or consultant will talk you through a small biography, and more importantly, a little insight into their life: what parts of their agenda are devoted to time, and what parts aren’t.

This week it’s my turn to give you some insights into my life and my role as the Acquisition Coordinator of TIME!

My name is Ellen van Och, I’m 22 years old and I have been living in Tilburg for almost four years. I grew up in a small town in North-Brabant, close to the border of Belgium. In 2017, I started with the Bachelor program International Business Administration. I really liked the international aspect of the program, which made me want to explore the world outside the Netherlands. During my third year, I went on exchange to Singapore. This has been an amazing experience and I got really excited to experience more foreign (business) cultures. Right now, I’m in the middle of the Masters programs Marketing Analytics and Marketing Management.

Thus, applying for TIME seemed like the perfect match for me! So far, I have been enjoying my board function a lot. As the Acquisition Coordinator, my core task is to make sure the acquisition phase runs smoothly. My main tasks here are creating a long-term planning, conducting the consultant interviews, having monthly individual conversations with the consultants, keeping them motivated and sending them a weekly update. Furthermore, I am the first contact person for the consultants when they have questions. Besides my function-specific tasks, I also create posts for social media and design posters and flyers.

Besides TIME, I am also busy studying. Besides that, I am working at the marketing department of a web shop. It’s great to combine everything I learn during my studies, TIME, and at work. In my free time, I like to have some drinks with my friends, go to festivals or to the gym. And of course, in the future I would love to travel a lot more!
