Maaike Willekes – Consultant

Every week a board member or consultant will talk you through a small biography, and more importantly, a little insight into their life, what parts of their agenda are devoted to time, and what parts aren’t.

My name is Maaike Willekes, I am 23 years old and I was born in Vlissingen but am living in Brabant for a long time now. Currently, I am enrolled in two master programs. In September 2020, I started with Marketing Analytics and last month, I started with Strategic Management, in which I am following the consultancy track. I love the combination of both programs and I think the Strategic Management program is a beautiful addition to the Marketing Analytics program. Before I started with the master, I did a bachelor in Economics and Business Economics here in Tilburg. During this bachelor, I went on exchange to Texas. I loved the experience abroad and since I got back, I knew I wanted another international experience.

After my board year at the student hockey association, I was looking for an opportunity to gain some relevant experience, particularly in consultancy. What I like about TIME is that I have to opportunity to combine a consultant position with an international experience. I only recently joined TIME, but I already learned so much. It is a great experience to get familiar with conducting high-quality marketing research.

Besides studying and TIME, I am also working at a catering/hostess agency in Tilburg. In my free time, I’d love to play field hockey and I also give training to another team. I love to travel, hang out with friends or have a few drinks at the terrace!

I just started as a consultant for TIME, but it is already a deep dive into the project! My company is really enthusiastic and supportive and this gives me a lot of trust in conducting the research and finishing the project in a qualitative manner.
