Every week a board member or consultant will talk you through a small biography, and more importantly, a little insight into their life, what parts of their agenda are devoted to time, and what parts aren’t.

This week it’s my turn, and I’ll give you some insights into my life and my role as the Chairman of TIME. But first, let me quickly introduce myself!

My name is Annabel Sevenheck and I’m 22 years old, and with this age I can say that I am the youngest/baby of our board. I grew up in a village called Overloon, some place in the Netherlands where you have – probably – never heard off. After successfully finishing my high-school, I decided to start my bachelor International Business Administration and moved to Tilburg. The latter is something I will never regret. During my bachelor’s degree, I got the opportunity to study abroad for half a year, so I decided to move to Madrid and enjoy life in tapas paradise. I probably don’t have to tell you, that studying abroad was the highlight of my bachelor’s degree. Time passed by so fast during my bachelor, I didn’t know what to study next. So, I impulsively decided to start an academic pre-master’s in Economics. After learning all the ins and outs about all micro- and macroeconomics fun facts for half a year, I decided that this great master wasn’t made for me. As I didn’t want to put my career on hold, I immediately started my master’s International Management and my board year at TIME.

And that’s where we are now. I got enthusiastic about TIME as two friends of mine joined TIME in previous editions. After hearing their unforgettable memories, fun stories and experiences, I applied for a board function at TIME.

In my function as chairman, I am responsible for all decisions within TIME and I am the link between the advisory board, professors of the University and this year’s board. So, it is my duty to keep in mind our long-term goals, phase planning and our overall brand awareness. Thereby, with the scheduling, planning and assigning activities I make sure that every activity is executed properly, and every board member is happy with their tasks and duties.

TIME is taking over quite all of my time, but I would lie if I’d say if it’s not worth it. Within these couple of months, I met many great new people and learned a lot, both professionally and personally. In the little free time I have, I like to go shopping, have a dinner with friends or play field hockey. And as a true woman of Limburg, the yearly fest of carnival brings me happiness.
