Vincent Liu
This week’s journal, Vincent Liu – Consultant
Every week a board member or consultant will talk you through a small biography, and more importantly, a little insight into their life, what parts of their agenda are devoted to time and what parts aren’t.
This week it is my time to tell you something about my life of a consultant of TIME. My name is Vincent Liu and I am 23 years old. I grew up in Breda and moved to Tilburg in my second study year when I was studying International Business Administration. I directly joined several associations when I started my study in Tilburg, namely Navigators Studentenvereniging Tilburg and Asset | Marketing (and later on also joined Enactus and Merlijn). I also heard from TIME when I joined Asset | Marketing in my first year, however I never thought I would ever join TIME at that moment. This is due to the hours that are needed for this project. However, in the following years I kept hearing more interesting stories about TIME from friends and during my board year at Asset | Marketing last year, I was also part of the advisory council of TIME. During that year I found out more about the TIME project and I knew that I wanted to join TIME due to the unforgettable experience you will have.
I was also interested in TIME, due to the international aspect of being a month in a foreign country (China and Japan this year). The interest of international experience came from my amazing half year in Jinan (China) where I had my exchange. I met a lot of new friends, ate a lot of delicious food, learned more about the language and culture and explored other parts of China. I also have roots in Asia, since my parents are born in Hong Kong. So it will be so nice to be back in Asia again in October.
I spent a lot of time in a week for TIME, but that is not all I do. I am also still a member of the student association Navigators, and student soccer association Merlijn. Next to that I have my own company with services for photography and playing music (as DJ). On top of that I am following two masters (Marketing Management and Marketing Analytics). Sometimes it was hard to fit in TIME in my busy life, but it all turns out fine with good scheduling. Now the exam period is finished, I have more time to focus on TIME. It is also possible for me to do a part time internship next to it during the summer months in Amsterdam. So I guess TIME requires enough time during your week, but you will still have enough time to meet friends and do the things you like next to TIME.
Want to know more about TIME or our current project? I’m always up for a nice conversation accompanied with a good cup of coffee. Additionally, add me on LinkedIn or send me a message and I’m happy to tell you all about it.
