Every week a board member or consultant will talk you through a small biography, and more importantly, a little insight into their life, what parts of their agenda are devoted to time, and what parts aren’t.

This week it’s my TIME to shine! My name is Yiten Luong and I am a consultant of TIME. I will take you to my journey that have let me to TIME. It all began in the Netherlands, in a city called Eindhoven, were I was born. It didn’t take long before we moved more towards the sunny south. I am obviously talking about the beautiful, historical and for many Dutch people already foreign city: Maastricht. This is where I grew up and where you will find me during the weekends.

I have also studied International Business at Zuyd University of Applied Science in Maastricht. During my studies I was given the opportunity to go on exchange and do an internship abroad. I had chosen to do my exchange in Coventry in the United Kingdom and I did my internship at EC Languages in Malta. Both incredible experiences which I will never forget and which have shaped me into the person I am today.

After I finished my studies in Maastricht, I decided to go back to my ‘’Brabantse’’ roots. I decided to do my premaster in Marketing Management at Tilburg University. The first time I heard about the amazing International project TIME was during the introduction week. However, my first priority during that period was to finish the premaster and start my masters.

I was introduced to TIME again at the beginning of my masters and I was very intrigued by this year’s destinations China and Japan. My parents are both from Asia and I have been to China several times. I have also done a language course in Beijing, where I have met new friends and experience the Chinese culture in another way. Furthermore, Japan has always been in my top three countries where I wanted to travel. Not only to satisfy my sushi cravings, but also experience its culture and beautiful nature.

I spend most of my hours at TIME since I have joined the team. It can be busy and sometimes hard to combine with my studies and work. However, it has helped me learn to work more efficiently and become more organized. Next to that, I am surrounded by motivated and lovely people from TIME, who are always willing to help out and support each other. Overall, the project itself is an incredible opportunity and learning experience.

Currently we are at the end phase of the acquisition period and there are only a few spots left for companies who are excited about this research project in Osaka, Tokyo and Shanghai.
